Costa Rica Surfing Camps and You: Making the Right Choice

costa rica surfing camps

If you have an interest in Costa Rica surfing camps, you are already aware that you have many choices in front of you. What you may not know is that by narrowing down your interests and your needs, you'll find the perfect location. Costa Rica has become known as a surfer's paradise and with the wide variety of waves, you'll be sure to find some that are perfect for you, no matter what your skill level. Come to Costa Rica for the beautiful beaches, friendly locals and amazing views, and make sure that you find the surf camp that is right for you!

In Costa Rica, surf camps come in all shapes and sizes and many of them are quite specialized. Pura Vida Adventures, for example, is a women-exclusive surf camp open to all skill-levels. The emphasis here is on an enjoyable, non-competitive atmosphere. The Kelea Surf Spa serves a similar purpose and throws in plenty of time and opportunity for yoga and massages as well. These Costa Rica surfing camps are terrific for women who want to do it all.

In Tamarindo, you'll find one of the most famous Costa Rica surfing camps; Witch's Rock Surf Camp is one that caters to surfers of all skill levels, but it is known for taking guests out in small groups to the Witch's Rock and Ollie's Point, two world famous waves. While Witch's Rock and Ollie's Point are specifically for experienced surfers only, there are still many options open to beginning and intermediate surfers. Witch's Rock offers instruction by surfers and for surfers, and the atmosphere is wonderfully laid back and relaxing.

If you are looking for luxury, why not book yourself into the Tamarindo Vista Villas? With the jungle on one side and the beach on the other, you'll have your choice of beautifully private villas with direct access to the beach. You'll find that this appeals to people who love to surf but don't want to leave the busy city, and this resort does everything it can to accommodate this. There are lessons for every group size and experience level, and you will be able to take your lessons exactly as far as you want.

If you want to try a little bit of it all, think about heading to the Endless Summer Surf Camp, located in Mal Pais. Partnered with the hotel Ritmo Tropical, this Costa Rica surfing camp has several different packages that address a wide variety of experience levels and needs. The accommodations are right on the beach front, and can be priced to suit a wide variety of budgets; for a price cut, you might find yourself sharing a room. Housing consists of poolside bungalows and you'll find that the hotel has a full service bar and restaurant. Intermediate and advanced surfers do quite well in this program thanks to the beach break out front.

When you are looking for a great Costa Rica surfing vacation, remember that the best one is not the most pricey, but the one that is perfect for you! Do some investigation and make sure that you find the right experience to take home with you.
