When planning your Costa Rica surf vacation you are probably going to want to consider the following two locations, Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. These are two of the best surfing spots in the country. The area includes perfect conditions through the year as well as a variety of activities for those persons who may be joining you but may not be surfers. There is also a variety of lengths that the camps and tours, or packages can go. Another thing to consider as well is the time of year. While the temperatures keep the water at about 80 degrees year round, the rainy season and hurricane season may put a damper on your trip, or may encourage you to visit during that time depending on the type of surfing you enjoy. Many of the beachfront hotels in surfing areas are going to be surf friendly, but some are not, so it is a good idea to check with the hotel prior to making reservations while you are planning your vacation. After all, as with any vacation, you will want to spend your time doing what you want to do rather than having to deal with the stress of locating different accommodations or location car rentals that will accommodate your surfboard if you brought it along, or the rental board.
